Last but certainly not the least in our review is the Ares 20-60 x 86 Spotting Scope. Lots of great features here, but the highlight is the apochromatic lens system that gives images an extra level of sharpness.

The Ares is a bit larger than your typical scope, but it is not that heavy. The twist eye cup is well designed and the focus ring is well made as well.

  • The Ares is equipped with a sophisticated multi-coated lens system. Equipped with this you’ll receive better light transmission and see the full spectrum of color.
  • Its ESP dielectric coating consists of prism coating in multiple layers. It reflects more then 98% of the light so you’ll see more colors and a clearer image.
  • Its ED Glass is designed to minimize or eliminate chromatic image fringe. What this means is the image you see is sharper and clearer.

Pros

  • Sharp image contrast
  • Excellent light transmission
  • Waterproof
  • Durable design
  • Low maintenance

Cons

  • Its case is a bit soft
  • The protective coat is a bit small
